CAMEL RACE TOUR MORNING / AFTERNOON

Lets Join the races of Camels in Qatar. The Al Shahaniya is the focal point of camel racing, which started as a professional sport in Qatar in 1972. Both domestic and
inter- national competitions are held here. Both locals and visitors are delighted as they ride the slender creatures across the sandy track on remote-controlled, toddlersized robot jockeys dressed in vibrant racing silks.In brief sprints, racing camels may reach 40 mph, and they can stay at 30 mph for up to an hour. Using a built-in
speaker, the oper- ator screams encouragement to the camel, applies the whip antenna, and instructs the jockey to pull on the reins. A trip to Al Shahaniya provides a
singular chance to view some of the world’s most costly and well-groomed camels.
